UAE and Egypt sign 10 GW wind power project
According to foreign media, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi were also present at the signing of the agreement, which will be the world’s largest wind farm project in Egypt.
According to foreign media, after the project is completed, the 10-gigawatt’ wind farm’ will generate 47,790 gigawatt hours of energy annually.
According to media reports, the wind farm will save Egypt about $5 billion in annual natural gas costs and will also help create 100,000 jobs.
The agreement was signed during the COP27 international climate change conference
