A man in China hid it from his wife and child after winning a lottery worth 21.9 million yuan (over 6 billion Pakistani rupees).
According to the person named Lee (full name withheld), he is afraid that the prize money will spoil the character of his wife and children.
When the man arrived at the office to collect the prize money in China’s Guangxi province, he was wearing a costume that hid his face.
Talking to the media, this man said that ‘I did not tell my wife and children about winning the lottery for fear that they might become too complacent and not work hard in the future or not work at all’.
The man has donated 5 million yuan to charity and says he has not yet decided what to do with the rest of the money.
According to him, when he came to know about winning the lottery, he spent the whole night in the hotel because he was afraid that the lottery ticket might be lost.
