Eminent director Ismail Shroff, who gave many super hit films to the Indian film industry in the 80s and 90s, passed away at the age of 62.
According to Indian media, director Ismail Shroff died of illness at the Kokila Ben Dhrubai Ambabi Hospital in Mumbai, he was admitted to the hospital a month ago due to a heart attack.
Renowned Indian actor Gonda expressed his deep sorrow over the death of Ismail Shroff and said that the first film of my career, Love 86, was directed by Ismail Shroff. I also worked, the film slowly is very close to my heart.
Gonda said that Ismail Shroff was strict about work but always had a smile on his face, he knew what he had to do and how to mold the actors into the roles.
He said that the death of Ismail Shroff is a great loss to the Indian film industry. I pray to Allah that he will not be given a place in heaven.
Ismail Shroff has directed the films Slowly, Stubborn Agar, God and Gun, Police Public, Majdhar, Dil Akher Dil Hai, Blandi, Surya and Jhoota Sach. His last film was Kahti Tum Badlo Kahti Hum Thi which was released in 2004.
