British Prime Minister Liz Truss will hope that her first weekly meeting with King Charles Swaym will help her forget for a while the political and economic crisis of the past few days.
But nothing happened and in a 15-second video of the meeting at Buckingham Palace, the King made things worse for the British Prime Minister.
In a viral video on Twitter, Liz Truss can be seen bowing her knees and saying Your Majesty, to which the king replies, ‘So you’re back again?’
To which Liz Truss says with a smile ‘It’s my pleasure, to which King Charles says ‘Dear oh dear, anyway.
This video has come out at a time when the ruling party is facing difficulties due to the economic crisis and that is why it has gone viral because people think that this is how the King expressed his views on the matter.
Jennifer Cassidy, a lecturer in diplomacy at Oxford University, said the video was a masterpiece of political absurdity and unintentional humor.
Keep in mind that Prime Ministers in Great Britain used to meet Queen Elizabeth II every week with enthusiasm, but after what happened on the night of October 12, Liz Truss will probably be more afraid to go in front of the King next week.
