The United Nations General Assembly has unanimously approved the resolution regarding the flood disaster in Pakistan.
The resolution expressed deep sorrow and sympathy for the devastation caused by floods and climate change in Pakistan.
In addition, the General Assembly increased the call for international cooperation and assistance in the rehabilitation of flood victims, while calling for attention and action to combat the effects of future climate change.
Speaking on this occasion, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munira Karam, said that 160 member countries of the United Nations have sponsored the resolution of Pakistan, which shows their sympathy and support is with Pakistan.
