Former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has revealed that for the first time in 10 years, he did not touch the bat for a month.
In a recent interview, Virat Kohli talked about his out-of-form and increasing mental pressure.
The former Indian captain said I kept telling myself that I have the intensity to play but my body was saying take a break now, I realized I was misrepresenting myself.
Virat Kohli said, “My mind was telling me that I have to take a break and quit the game. I look mentally strong and I am strong, but there is a limit, you have to recognize that limit, or else it will be over.” It is bad for your health.
“The recent days have taught me a lot, I don’t feel ashamed to say that I was down mentally,” he said.
Virat Kohli said it’s a common thing but we don’t talk about it because we feel hesitant, we don’t want to look like we’re mentally retarded, believe me misrepresenting our strengths is a weakness. There is something worse than admitting it.
The Indian captain said that I was not included in the tour of West Indies and Zimbabwe due to being out of form.
It should be noted that Virat Kohli has been included in the team for the Asia Cup and the match between Pakistan and India will be played in Dubai tomorrow
