The Turkish Foreign Minister said that Turkey does not recognize occupied Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, therefore the Turkish embassy in Israel is in Tel Aviv.
It should be noted that relations between Israel and Turkey deteriorated after the Israeli attack on a Turkish ship in 2010, but after the partial restoration of relations from 2016 to 2018, after the killing of more than 200 Palestinian citizens by the Israeli army in Gaza.
