The leaders of Iran, Russia, and Turkey participated in the trilateral peace talks on the Syrian conflict, in which they emphasized support for a political solution to the Syrian conflict.
According to foreign media reports, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Russian President Vladimir Putin participated in the tripartite peace talks on the Syrian conflict in Iran yesterday.
In the talks, the heads of the three countries emphasized their support for a political solution to the Syrian conflict.

In addition, Russian President Putin also met with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei in Tehran.
In the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei said that under the leadership of President Putin, Russia has maintained its independence, and long-term cooperation between Iran and Russia will be in the interest of both countries.
He further said that all countries should trade in their own currency instead of the US dollar.
Earlier yesterday, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Iran and Russia for cooperation in the energy sector worth about 40 billion dollars.
According to the statement released by the Iranian Ministry of Oil News Agency, the CEOs of the National Oil Company of Iran and the Russian company Gazprom (Gazprom) signed the Memorandum of Understanding during an online ceremony.
According to Iranian officials, the Russian company will help develop 6 gas fields, including Cash Island, and North Persia, complete LNG projects, and build gas export pipelines.
