Canada has been forced to drop 1.36 million doses of the AstraZeneca Code 19 vaccine because no one is willing to use them.
Attempts have been made by Canada to dispense the vaccine abroad, but no one has agreed to take it.
Canada agreed to buy 20 million doses of the vaccine from AstraZeneca in 2020, and between March and June 2021, 2.3 million people used at least one dose of the vaccine.
But in 2021, due to concerns about the potential harm of using the AstraZeneca vaccine, Canada began using Pfizer and modern mRNA vaccines.
In July 2021, Canada said it would donate more than 17.7 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
But now Health Canada says that despite all efforts, 13.6 million foods have expired and will be destroyed.
Vaccination has been completed to protect 85% of Canadians from the code.
In contrast, 61% of the world’s population has been vaccinated, with only 16% of the population in the poorest countries.
